Treilhou
Marie-Claude Treilhou is a French filmmaker who came to cinema by way of criticism. After studying philosophy and art history, she wrote for the magazines Cinéma and Art Press between 1974 and 1977, before working as an editing intern on Jean-François Stévenin's Passe Montagne and as an actress and second assistant director on Paul Vecchiali's Corps à coeur (1978).
She made her debut in 1979 with Simone Barbès ou la Vertu, produced under Vecchiali's Diagonale. She has continued to alternate fiction and documentary in films like Le Jour des rois (1990), En cours de musique (2000), and Un petit cas de conscience (2002), and teaches at the Ateliers Varan.
