Maria João Madeira is a film programmer at the Cinemateca Portuguesa - Museu do Cinema in Lisbon. There she has worked since 1993 on the conception and organization of retrospectives, and the production of texts and catalogs. She has published writings on cinema in various journals and has maintained a regular activity of translation, mainly of films.
