Skorecki

Louis Skorecki is a French film critic, filmmaker, and writer. A highschool friend of Serge Daney, he co-founded Visages du cinéma with him in 1962 and began writing for Cahiers du cinéma under the pseudonym Jean-Louis Noames, where he made his name with the 1978 polemic Contre la nouvelle cinéphilie. In 1983 he joined Daney at Libération, where he stayed for twenty five years, eventually inventing his daily column "Le Film”.
